A dictionary definition says that "Physical conditioning refers to the development of physical fitness through the adaptation of the body and its various systems to an exercise program."

And this definition is quite assertive in the fact that the body needs to be shown the way how to perform a movement/exercise as well as when and how long for. Without going too deep into the scientific realm, we can say by observation and practice that the body has a memory (in this case the two brains - left & right - are part of the body) of its own. We can "see it" when we sleep and even throughout the day. Our bodies perform such complex tasks without ourselves even noticing it.

Therefore if we carry out a movement or exercise several times the same way, observing, understanding and feeling how it happens we are indeed engraving a pattern of movement to a trigger that our body is going to remember and execute when the time comes by.

The previous paragraph has been shortened to its minimum as there is a lot of material and views on how the body and mind both operate. To conclude though, we should understand based on what has been said that applying the right and best technique possible right from the beginning will dramatically improve our physical performance in any sport or activity.

Every person has different variables to consider regarding their physiology, fitness level, body symetry and alignment, running form and technique, diet, social and personal circumtances, memories and a few more.

We need to understand that there is several ways to improve. The first one is to understand that it is possible to improve and from there we should check on all or most of the factors mentioned above. We can do that individually or with the help of Personal trainer that understand the "act" of running or with a Running / Athletics Coach.

Definitely our diet plays a very important role in our lives; particularly if we are quite active as then our body requires a full array of elements, such as vitamins, protein, minerals, carbohidrates and more.

The best way to illustrate this is with the analogy of a car. In order for it to be more efficient the owner/driver should provide the car with the right sort of fuel that it was designed for. If for any circumstance we give it the wrong fuel, either it works badly or even breaks down.

Now the main question to answer is what is my right "fuel". There we go. All depends of so many circumstances. There are so many diets out there and none take on our personal and specific needs and situation. If diet "A" works for my friend why should it work for me. We are all different as we have different bodies and different lives. Therefore, we imperiously need to understand that whatever diet we follow has been tailored for me taking on account my personal circumstances and daily activities.
